The Fendi Mama Baguette in burgundy red smooth leather — the big sister of the classic Baguette, in a deep color and a clean material. A piece that combines two rare assets: the practical everyday format and the DNA of the most iconic it-bag of the 2000s.
The Fendi Baguette was launched in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi — it is named after the French bread because it tucks under the arm like a baguette. In a few seasons, it became the absolute object of desire of the 2000s, especially after its repeated appearance in Sex and the City in the arms of Carrie Bradshaw. The Mama version is a larger iteration of the original Baguette: same structured silhouette, same iconic FF buckle flap, but an increased capacity that makes it a true everyday bag. The smooth burgundy leather of this example gives it a sober and assertive elegance, far from the monogrammed versions — for those who appreciate discreet branding and a statement color.
